A typical configuration would be a Primary Application Server, Database Server and Email Server. However you may also want an extra server or two (usually small) to offload special processes. For robust data protection, you will probably want to server images and binaries from our S3 CDN storage.
You’ll also want an on-demand Transient Server for testing and staging your application updates before they go to production. Backups can be fully automated and servers can scale up on-demand to ensure great performance even under unusual load.
